Our manufacturer is Chain of Custody certified by the Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC) which supports environmentally responsible manufacturing practices. The cedar is sustainably harvested from woodlots that are managed in an environmentally safe manner. All of the cedar comes from local sources, and is only transported 25 to 85 miles from forest to factory - reducing the carbon footprint of this earth friendly product. Wood waste is kept to a minimum, but any scrap that is generated is ground into shavings to be used as high quality animal bedding.

Leave as is to mellow to a beautiful silver grey over time, or add the finish of your choice. Please note that over time as it continues to dry and cure, unfinished cedar normally will "check", which means it will develop slight cracks along the length of the logs. This is a normal and natural process which adds to the beauty and character of the wood, and it in no way affects the strength or durability of the furniture.

You'll love the way your clothes smell when you keep them in our unfinished cedar dressers. The smaller 3 drawer Warrensburg Dresser is great when you need a little extra storage, and the 31" height makes it a good choice for a child's room.  The 5 drawer Old Forge Dresser takes up no more floor space, but gives you much more storage.

The real beauty of these dressers is the extra display or open storage space you can create by adding the dresser extension shelves.  Join two or more dressers (either size) together to make a wall unit.  The modular design lets you reconfigure the shelves and dressers as your needs change.  (These shelves are the same ones sold as extra shelves for our Long Pond Bookcases, so you can mix and match!)
