Our cedar Adirondack style Tête-à-Tête is made with the same attention to detail as our single Adirondack chairs. Like the chairs, the arms and legs are constructed from 1 1/2 inch lumber
-- twice as thick as most others use! You'll appreciate the extra strength and stability, as well as the solid look that this construction method imparts.
Our manufacturer is a small family business that grows their own trees and takes great pride in managing their woodlots in an environmentally
safe, sustainable and responsible manner. Each tree is hand selected and harvested during the cold Maine winters to minimize damage to the surrounding trees and saplings. The logs are cut to length
and milled so as to minimize waste. Once the rough cut lumber is dried, it is planed and sorted so that only the very best boards are used in their shop. (The rest is sold locally as dimensional
lumber, so it doesn't go to waste!) Hand crafted in the rolling hills of northern Maine, each settee is lovingly crafted of quality cedar,
a strong, durable wood that requires no finish or chemical treatment to withstand the elements. 'Going green' has never been so beautiful!
Each settee is carefully sanded to ensure smooth edges and splinter-free surfaces. The settees are assembled in the shop to assure proper fit, then the pieces are marked and partially
disassembled for shipping. All the necessary screws are included, along with clear instructions for assembly (very easy!) Free Shipping!
