Placing Orders

Place your order online using our 100% secure shopping cart system. Simply select the item you would like, along with any options size or color choices, then click on "Add to Cart", and you will be taken to your shopping cart. From there, click on "Continue Shopping" or "Go To Payments" at the bottom of the shopping cart screen to either continue to browse or complete our simple and secure order process. If you choose to browse, you can return to your shopping cart at any time by clicking on the View Cart link in the top or bottom menu on every page on our site.

Please be assured that your sensitive information is encrypted and secure, so you can order online with confidence. Our online ordering system also includes the option to pay by check (7 to 10 day hold) or money order.

Sales Tax
We are based in Oregon, so we do not charge sales tax on any orders.

Payment

We accept payment viaPayPal, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, checks or money orders.  Our secure server encrypts your credit card and personal information for your protection.  We also employ strict anti-fraud screening measures to further protect our customers.  We do not retain your credit card information once your order is completed.  If your order is shipping to Alaska or Hawaii, we will contact you with your total (including shipping charges) before charging your card.

Order Processing

Your order will be processed within one business day.  Processing your order consists of running your credit card through our payment terminal with its anti-fraud screening measures, forwarding your order to the manufacturer of the product or products you have selected, and e-mailing you a detailed invoice.  Once you receive our e-mail invoice titled "Your Tick-n-Thistle Sales Receipt", you can rest assured that your order has been processed.  We will also send you a shipping confirmation e-mail with tracking information when your order ships.

Shipping

Our products ship directly to you from the manufacturer. This saves us money in a number of ways, and we pass those savings on to you in our very competitive pricing.  Remember that there is no additional charge for ground shipping on any orders to the continental US, so you won't get any nasty surprises at checkout!  Expedited shipping is available for most products at an additional charge that will vary based on shipping destination, please contact us for details.

Because each of our vendors uses the shipping carrier that is most cost effective for their product line, our shipping policies vary from one manufacturer to the next.  We have tried to give clear shipping information within the description of each product, please see our Shipping Information page for more detailed information.

Shipments to Alaska, Hawaii and Canada will usually incur a shipping charge, and not all items will ship to these locations (though most will). More details on shipments outside the continental US.

* Please note:  Our shipping estimates are based on normal conditions.  During the Christmas shopping season, the estimated time to deliver may necessarily be longer due to increased volume for both our manufacturers and the shipping carriers.  Please keep this in mind and plan accordingly.  Thank you!

Returns

Your satisfaction is of the utmost importance to us, without happy customers, we are nothing!
Our products are covered by our 30 day return policy. The products must be in new and re-sellable condition and returned in the original packaging. Special orders are not returnable.

Please note: Our animal products are returnable if you are dissatisfied with the quality upon receipt of the item. Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on the basis that the animal is not using the item. Once the item has been introduced to your pet, it is no longer returnable.

Because our products ship directly from the manufacturer, each has a slightly different policy as far as where to return the item, and what information to include.  For this reason, we ask that you contact us before returning an item for specific instructions on that return.  Contacting us first will assure you a quick and hassle free return.  Unless the item is defective or otherwise unsatisfactory, the customer will be responsible for our actual cost to ship it to you, as well as return shipping and any re-stock fee imposed by the manufacturer (this will vary from one manufacturer to the next, but is typically 10 to 20%).

If an item is damaged in shipment, please retain the original shipping box, as we will need to file a claim with the shipper, and they will need the box as proof of who is responsible for the damage.  We will replace the item or issue a refund (your choice) immediately.  Shipping claims are often long, drawn-out processes, and we see no reason for you to be penalized any further for something that is no fault of yours.

60 Day Price Guarantee

If our price drops within 60 days of your purchase we will cheerfully refund the difference. Just give us a call or drop us a line with your order number and we'll issue your refund right away.
