Sturdy
This sturdy table is designed and built right here in the USA by the great folks at Jonti-Craft, one of the most respected names in children's furniture.  Built to Jonti-Craft's high standards, the tabletop is 5/8" thick thermo-fused laminate - the highest quality there is.  The rest of the table is built from 5/8" thick eleven ply Baltic birch plywood for extra strength and long life.  Covered by a lifetime manufacturer's guarantee against any defect in material of labor (absent any misuse or damage by the customer).

Eco Friendly
A truly green product through and through. Jonti Craft uses only those wood suppliers with proper forestry management plans to minimize the impact on the environment, and all wood scrap is reused or recycled. The KydzTuff finish is over 99% solids, reducing the amount of solvents released into the air during drying. The finish is also applied with a roller (not sprayed) so there is virtually no loss of materials. Every bit of unused wood or finish is recycled and/or reused. Even the box it ships in is environmentally sound. Jonti Craft makes its own boxes to keep its use of cardboard as efficient as possible, minimizing excess or waste cardboard boxes. The small amount of waste is recycled into new boxes.

Practical
Kids don't stay one size for very long, so why should their furniture?  This desk is designed to grow with your child, providing ergonomically correct comfort for kids aged 4 to 13.  Start out at the 18" height for preschoolers and toddlers, then adjust it up in 2 inch increments to its maximum height of 28" as your child progresses through grade school and middle school or junior high.

The CPU storage booth makes this table a fully self-contained computer work station, and it mounts on either side for maximum flexibility.  The back of the booth is open for easy access, and has a stop to keep the CPU from falling off the back.  The locking casters make it easy to retrieve dropped items, vacuum, reconfigure the CPU or rearrange the room.  When you're done, just re-lock the casters to stabilize the table.

It ships knocked down, but the simple design and clear instructions make assembly easy.

The white laminate tabletop with birch edgebanding nicely complements the birch plywood used on the rest of the desk.  The natural birch wood grain shines through the KydzTuff™ clear urethane finish which is as strong and durable as the coating used on gymnasium floors.  It won't yellow, it's stain resistant (markers, crayons, juice and coffee clean off easily) and it masks fingerprints!  As an added bonus, it is non-toxic and lead free, making it far safer for the environment - and Jonti-Craft recycles all of their finishing byproducts.
