- 450 lb. capacity.
- Surprisingly soft and comfortable
- Available in these choices:
Herringbone is 100% natural, unbleached hemp woven in a classic, textured pattern. It is between the other two in weight and feel.
Pinwheel is 50% natural unbleached hemp, 50% natural unbleached flax woven in a pinwheel patterned weave. It is heavier weight and a bit softer.
Canvas is 100% hemp (unbleached, of course) in a plain weave. It is lighter weight and firmer feeling.
- Sturdy hemp rope harness - rope ends are waxed to prevent fraying.
- Hemp is the strongest natural fiber; its fiber is resilient and withstands great wear and tear.
- Hemp is eco-friendly because:
- Hemp plants grow very quickly and densely which makes it difficult for weeds to take hold, eliminating the need for herbicides and artificial fertilizers.
- Hemp requires no irrigation as it thrives on the amount of water in the average rainfall, and it is highly pest-resistant.
- Very little of the hemp plant is wasted - the fiber, seeds and seed oil are all used in food, cosmetics and other applications
- Single layer fabric, allowing for a cooling air flow through the bed with more flexibility to simulate the body sculpting comfort of the traditional
rope hammock.
- Twin Oaks sews their own hammock beds and pillows, manufactures their own rope and mills their own white oak spreaders, ensuring absolute quality
control throughout the manufacturing process.
- White oak spreaders hand finished with linseed oil to preserve the natural grain.
- 5 year warranty on the spreaders, 2 year warranty on workmanship.
- Hanging hardware included.
- FREE SHIPPING to the lower 48!!! Ships direct from the manufacturer in Virginia via UPS Ground.
We don't know about you, but when we used to think about hemp as a fabric, we imagined something rough and coarse. Nothing could be further from
the truth! All of these hemp fabrics are surprisingly soft and comfortable. The Canvas feels very much like a cotton canvas fabric, and compares favorably to the Sunbrella and Glen Tuff fabrics.
The Pinwheel is softer still, and a bit heavier weight. It is a blend of 50% hemp and 50% flax, both left natural and unbleached. The Herringbone is between the other two in weight and feel.
Relaxing in a hammock is a great way to reduce stress - an important part of a healthy lifestyle!
As with all Twin Oaks hammocks, the white oak spreader bars are hand finished with natural linseed oil, and the hemp harnesses are hand made by skilled craftsmen. Hanging hardware is included.
Twin Oaks Hammocks ensures superior quality by being involved in each step of the manufacturing process. They mill and hand finish their own second-growth lumber for the spreader bars, and they
twist their own Olefin rope. They also sew their own pillows and canvas beds for the fabric hammocks. They are true craftsmen, and it shows!
We also carry hammock stands and hammock pillows, as well as hanging
chairs, hammock swings, Olefin rope hammocks, quilted Sunbrella fabric hammocks and
Twintex® fabric hammocks.
