• Envirope looks and feels like cotton but doesn’t rot and mildew as cotton does.

More than just a hammock, the eco friendly Envirope® hammock is not only comfortable and durable, it's designed and built in an environmentally conscious manner from beginning to end!

First the rope is spun in Twin Oaks' worker owned shops from 100% post-consumer waste polyester fiber - old soda and water bottles. The resulting Envirope looks and feels like cotton but doesn’t rot and mildew as cotton does - it will withstand many years of outdoor use. Envirope is more sun resistant than our olefin rope hammocks and so is a better choice for sunny southern locations such as Florida and the Southwest.

The White Oak spreader bars are made from locally cut second growth trees sawed at the worker owned high-efficiency mill and processed in their wood shop.  The spreaders are hand finished with natural linseed oil to preserve the natural wood grain.

Once all the components are prepared, skilled craftsmen create your hammock hand using traditional knotless weaving techniques.  Hundreds of feet of soft long-lasting synthetic rope go into each hammock. Twin Oaks Hammocks resist rot, mildew and weathering, and will provide you with many years of pleasant relaxation.
